Brazos Bluff Ranch
The only guest lodging on the ranch, a log vacation house with 2 master suites and a large sleeping loft, is air conditioned and furnished with most of the modern amenities of home. You'll enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and peace and quiet of our ranch. You can hike or jog up wooded trails to the rim of the 120’ vertical cliff rising above the Brazos River to catch a spectacular sunset. At dusk or dawn you might see wild turkeys, whitetail deer or other wild animals. Our vacation house and pavilion guests have access to the river for fishing and may use our canoes and kayaks for no additional fee. Our screened-in river pavilion and deck on the Brazos River provide an ideal location for family and business retreats. We offer a volleyball net, horseshoe pits, along with an outdoor BBQ pit, Kamado grill and indoor kitchen. Brazos Bluffs Ranch is located 5 miles west of I-35, half-way between Austin and Dallas-Ft.Worth, 3 hours from Houston and San Antonio, next to the popular Brazos de Dios farm, an agrarian Christian community. You can tour its numerous historic structures, including its working Gristmill built in 1760, and the shops of its award winning craftsmen. Its general store, craft campus and Cafe featuring all natural beef and locally grown grains and vegetables are open Monday through Saturday until 6:00 p.m. You may want to sign up for one of their many classes, e.g. cheese making or woodworking. See the schedule at SustainLife.org. You are also welcome to shop at their grocery store.
