Vitek’s surely is popular. There were 4 times as many cars here as Rudy’s down the road half a mile. It’s a fun place; it’s a raucous place; it’s good food, a few TV screens; indoor and outdoor dining (with a nice covered patio to keep the sun off your head). I can see why it’s as popular as it is. This isn’t the place where you come to inspect the smoke ring — heck, my brisket arrived with sauce on it and I couldn’t tell if there was a smoke ring or not — but it tasted great and it was tender.
The best dining experience in Waco by far from the service to food to location. It is inside the front door of Hotel Indigo with a casual chic city vibe. The service was spot on the whole time from seating to water refills to ordering to food prep timing. Try the stuffed avocado appetizer with melted cheese and chicken or maybe a bison burger. You can''t leave without having the sopapilla cheesecake. Ice cream on top of cheesecake with a soapapilla layer in between. Holy mama!
